  3.    There  are  several  pages  of help
  4. information.  Use  the  NEXT  and PREV
  5. buttons  at  the  bottom  of this help
  6. window  to move back and forth between
  7. it's  pages.  Use  the  EXIT button to
  8. return to the magazine.
  9.  
  10.    Note  that these Help pages are for
  11. use  with  Amy PD and Shareware Review
  12. and  are a slighty modified version of
  13. the  normal  Magnetic Pages help file.
  14. Other magazines produced with Magnetic
  15. Pages   may   operate  in  a  slightly
  16. different way.  CDR - CyberCraft.
  17.  
  18. Terminology
  19. Page...  There  are two distinct types
  20. - the Text Page and the Graphics Page.
  21. A Text Page can contain text, graphics
  22. and  buttons while a Graphics Page has
  23. just  a  picture.  The buttons let you
  24. move  to  other  pages  and  articles,
  25. and perhaps start music or animations.
  26.  
  27. Article...  A  group  of  one  or more
  28. pages loaded from disk together.
  29.  
  30. Moving Around the Magazine
  31.    You  can  move  around the magazine
  32. by   using   the   menu  options,  the
  33. keyboard   or   by   clicking  on  the
  34. buttons  on the right side of the menu
  35. bar.  Note  that  on  a  Graphics Page
  36. there  are  no menu bar buttons so you
  37. must use the menus or the keyboard.

  73.    In  the bottom right-hand corner of
  74. the  text  pages of Amy PD Review is a
  75. button that will take you to the Index
  76. of  the magazine.  This is so you  may
  77. move   quickly  from  one  article  to
  78. another  without  needing  to go first
  79. to the (rather slow) Contents page.

  81. Contents Button
  82.    In  the  bottom left-hand corner of
  83. text  pages is a button that will take
  84. you  directly  to the Contents page of
  85. the  magazine.  From the Contents page
  86. you  have  access to all the different
  87. sections of the magazine.

  89. Printing
  90.    There   are  two   printing   modes
  91. available.
  92.  
  93. Text  Only...  This   allows   you  to
  94. print  just the text from a page.  All
  95. graphics will be ignored.
  96.  
  97. Graphics  Dump...  This will print the
  98. whole  page  including  all  text  and
  99. graphics.
  100.  
  101.    When  printing  in 'Text Only' mode
  102. two pages of the magazine will usually
  103. fit  on  a  single  sheet  of   paper.
  104. However on some printers this won't be
  105. possible.  The  '2 Pages/Single Sheet'
  106. option  gives  you   the   choice   of
  107. printing  one  or two pages per single
  108. sheet of paper.
  109.    Note  that  when you are printing a
  110. whole  article  or the entire magazine
  111. printing  will  always  begin with the
  112. page you are currently on.  This means
  113. that  if  you  have  to abort printing
  114. part  way  through you can resume from
  115. where you left off.
  116.  
  117. Saving Text
  118.    You  can  save the text from a page
  119. or  article  as a standard ASCII file.
  120. You  can  then  load  this file into a
  121. Text Editor or Word Processor.
  122.  
  123. Saving Graphics
  124.    You  can  save  a  page  as  an IFF
  125. picture.  You  can  then   load   this
  126. picture  into  a paint program such as
  127. Deluxe Paint.

  129. Text Search
  130.    This  command  allows you to search
  131. the  magazine for a particular word or
  132. sentence.   You  can  choose to search
  133. the  current page, article, section or
  134. the   entire   magazine.    The  'Case
  135. Sensitive'   option   allows   you  to
  136. distinguish   between  the  upper  and
  137. lowercase   characters.   The  section
  138. option  is  to  allow  you  to  search
  139. more  than  one  article.  By going to
  140. the  General Reviews article and using
  141. this  option  you would search all the
  142. articles  in that part of the magazine
  143. but not any of the others.
  144.  
  145. Sleep
  146.    Allows   you  to  free  almost  all
  147. memory  used by the magazine.  A small
  148. window  will  be  displayed in the top
  149. right   corner   of   the    Workbench
  150. screen.  To  return  to  the  magazine
  151. click  in  this  window  once with the
  152. left  mouse  button and then once with
  153. the right button.
